Dancing at the edge of time 3 30/10/2010
I've just been awarded the Bunny Clarke Digital Award for Excellence in Original Design in Sojie 8 for What dreams may come 10. Haven't quite figured out how to transfer the badge into my blog, but if you click on the link you'll find it underneath my image. There are 106 works in this exhibition so I'm pretty chuffed! There are no words to explain, no tongue, how when that player touches the strings, it is me playing and being played, how existence turns around this music, how stories grow from the trunk, how cup and mouth swallow each other with the wine, how a garnet stone come from nowhere is puzzled by these miners, how even if you look for us hair's breadth by hair's breadth, you'll not find anything. We're inside the hair! Rumi 5 Comments Eye of the needle 4 17/10/2010
Hi all. I I have a new interview out here, and I even get to talk about my favourite subject apart from my art, which is of course the PARADIGM SHIFT! Hope you enjoy it. Soul can break the circle of fate and habit. Take hold the hand of absence and let it draw you through the Pleiades, giving up wet and dry, hot and cold. You become a confidante of Shams Tabriz. You see clearly the glory of nothing and stand, inexplicably, there. Rumi Whispers of eternity 09/07/2010
Good things come in threes it seems - I've got lots to tell you this week! !) Issue 5 of Pink Panther Magazine is out and one of my pieces, Eyes to see, is on the cover! There's also news of my exhibition and a few more images on page 15, and Cosmic mother 3 is on page 75. 2) Enchanted forest has just appeared in issue 4 of the online magazine Sublime Rush, on pages 192-203, in an article on the Energy Art Movement. If you’re interested in reading the article just click on the link and look for Energy Art. 3) Artsyshark has done an update on what their featured artists are up to now. If you're interested you can check it out here. And now it seems a little paradoxical to move from self promotion to Rumi's poetry but, well, life's like that so here we go. If you catch a fragrance of the unseen, like that, you won't be able to be contained. You'll be out in the empty sky. Any beauty the world has, any desire, will easily be yours. As you live deeper in the heart, the mirror gets clearer and cleaner. Rumi Portal 4 02/07/2010
Just thought I'd let you know that two of my pieces, Enchanted forest and Web of life will be appearing in an exhibition called Energizing Radiance 2010 at Gallery Fifty Six (Memphis, TN, USA). The exhibition runs from July 9 – August 3, and I hope you'll drop by if you're in the area. Day before yesterday, fire whispered to the fragrant smoke, Aloes wood loves me, because I know how to untie it and let it loose. This burning must occur, or nothing will happen. Sperm cell disappears into egg. Then a new beauty appears. It is necessary for you to experience nonbeing. Love takes you toward that. Asleep beside the splashing water, let it say secrets into you. Be a sleep and a pure listening at the same time. Rumi New feature 03/05/2010
Hi all. Just a quick midweek post to let you know I have a new feature on Art Palaver. If you're interested you can check out the interview here. Take care. Tickled pink! 10/04/2010
A couple of exciting things have been happening for me with my art just lately and I thought I'd share. First off I've had two images published in an online magazine for women's art and writing called Pink Panther Magazine. My work is on pages 23 and 37. And my art has been featured in a blog called Artsy shark: A site for emerging artists! You can check out the feature here. The first few months of 2010 have been pretty much all hard work for me on an inner/energy level so today I'm celebrating with a glass of red. Cheers! :o) | Fractal news
This is where you'll find my latest fractal art. I'll also post occasional random musings here, as well as any exciting art news.
